Preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ!

Experiencing The Gospel

Medical Outreach Changes Lives

Part of our ministry mission statement declares that we exist to help people experience the gospel.  Sounds good, but what does that really mean?  The best way to understand that aspect of our mission is to look to the ministry of Jesus.  If declaring the gospel as a mere list of Biblical truths (ie, the death, burial, and resurrection), then the New Testament Gospels would be very brief.  However, the gospel is very relational and experiential.  Jesus cultivated relationships and led people to experience God.  To those who do not know God, the truth that God loves them is only a statement and it carries little weight.  However, when people are touched by God’s love and see it expressed around them and toward them, the love of God for them personally becomes believable.

Thanks to the ministry, Volunteers in Medical Missions, we were able to help nearly 1,400 people experience God’s love through an outreach in medical, dental, and optical assistance.  The team of 17, from 4 different countries, saw hundreds of patients each day through the village clinics we offered over a 5 day period.  We faced multiple setbacks and opposition from various sources.  However, in the end our local pastors and churches were seen in a very positive light by offering help to anyone who came for help.

The Impact of Our Ministry Partners

We are acutely aware of the importance of our ministry partners.  Whether it is a church or individual, the faithful support and prayers on our behalf are the fuel that runs the engine.  To those who are a part of our team, you should know that we are enjoying the most productive year we have ever had in terms of the number of people who have been reached with the gospel.  As of the end of September 314 people have passed from spiritual death to life!  63 have followed Christ in believer’s baptism.  Our total since January of 2021 is now 1,414 saved and 392 baptized.  Dozens of faithful preachers, teachers, and other leaders serve faithfully each week to keep the gospel advancing in the darkest places.
