Preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ!

The Advance of the Gospel
Spring 2025
Since the first of January, our ministry has been blessed with 59 people receiving Christ as Savior and 12 being baptized so far. These advances in the gospel have come from Waikareibi, Blackwater, Whitewater, Canal Bank, Unity Square, Lower Kaituma, and Tobago Villages. The strength of our work comes from the dozens of faithful men and women who serve in more than 15 villages throughout our region who are bringing the word each week to men, women, boys and girls. In February, we held our first service in Blackwater (our second village named Blackwater). We had about 60 in attendance, and five gave their life to Christ. In March Pastor Nobert led eight people to the Lord at Whitewater. In April Pastor Romel led fifteen people to the Lord at the Riverside and Tobago Churches.
"Commit thou to faithful men, who shall
be able to teach others also."
In keeping with our ministry vision, we launched a discipleship course on Sunday afternoons at the Riverside Church. We have 12-15 adults who come every week for training. It is encouraging to see the faithfulness of those who are coming to learn. We anticipate those who are being discipled will begin to make disciples and thus fulfilling the responsibility God has given to every believer.
In addition to the discipleship training, we continue to host monthly pastoral and leadership training time. One of the men who has just started coming is showing signs of real growth. He is bringing in a boat full (literally!) of people each week, and now he is asking for another boat to bring in more! Keep in mind, he comes by river every week and travels more than two and a half hours one way. Beyond the pastoral/leadership training, we hosted our pastors and the wives for two days in March. The ladies were encouraged by being included, and they enjoyed several hours of sessions just for themselves.
Riverside Celebrates One Year!
On the last Sunday of March, our Riverside church celebrated its one-year anniversary. Leading up to the anniversary, we taught for two months on our ministry core values, both in the main service and in our children’s church, which culminated with a “charter signing service”, where people had the opportunity to show their intention to be members of the church. Several dozen have already signed, and we expect more to come!
Important Prayer Request!
The immigration system in Guyana is challenging, but for the most part, it is fair. We are required to apply every other year to receive an “extension of stay.” We do not know why, but our application this year has not been renewed. We left Guyana on April 16 to comply with the law. At this point, we still have no word on our status. Our plan for the immediate future is to travel in and out of Guyana regularly until we can resolve this situation. We have 4 different teams coming over the next few months. We will be able to continue our leadership training, camp, and VBS plans. However, this status is a challenge to our life and ministry. We are asking God to intervene on our behalf and grant us favor – please join us in this request.
